GOLF TIP OF THE MONTH

It is a proven fact that in cold weather, the ball travels 8 to 10 yards less. To make up for this distance loss, golfers tend to overswing resulting in poor shots. Instead, take one more club and swing normally. This should increase accuracy and help you become a better golfer.

GOLF RULE OF THE MONTH

The player may declare his ball unplayable at any place on the golf course except when a ball is in a water hazard. The player is sole judge as to whether his ball is unplayable. If a player deems his ball unplayable, he shall, under a penalty of one stroke

(a) play a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played

(b) drop a ball within two club lengths of the spot where the ball lay, but not nearer the hole

(c) drop a ball behind the point where the ball lay, keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind that point the ball may be dropped.
